Zack Telander

Zack Telander was tabbed by Inside Lacrosse magazine as the 30th best midfielder in their upcoming recruiting issue. Guess where he's headed? The University of Vermont.

Telander should be one of Vermont's biggest pickups ever and a sign that things are coming around for Vermont.

2009-10 NFL Season

Normally I am not interested in the NFL at all. I'm interested in college football. However, there are several headlines this year that I will be paying close attention to - a top five if you will.

Here they are, in descending order.

1. Micheal Vick - Will any team take a chance on Vick? How much of his athleticism will be gone, if any? If signed, will PETA and other groups protests him at every stadium? Has he changed? My opinion is no, he hasn't changed. He probably won't run dog fights anymore, but I'm sure he'll still run around with suspect people and do questionable things. I'm sure a You Tube video (or some other story) will surface showing Vick with some of his buddies, "makin it rain", mouthing words to the camera, popping their shirts, or using some thugged out sign language to display their home state or city. Go get 'em Vick.

2. Tom Brady - Will he come back as good as ever or will his knee injury prevent him playing at the highest level? I've read articles recently that question his toughness, and I'm curious if these are just hyperbole or something actually worth talking about.

3. T.O - Will it be the same old song and dance, only this time in Buffalo? Is he even relevant anymore?

4. Shawne Merriman - Here's a guy that not a lot of folks are talking about right now, but will be coming back after a major injury - torn knee ligaments. Due to his own stupidity he tried to play last year, against Doctors recommendations, rather than forgoing the season to try and recuperate. I'm hoping for a "told you so" opening game for Merriman, where his knee gets bashed in and it ends his career. Once that happens he'll have plenty of time to contemplate the stupidity of his actions.

5. Matthew Stafford - There's no way he will be able to live up to his contract. That being said, I'm curious to see how he does.

Correction

I have learned that the UMass Lowell goaltender I blogged about a few weeks ago has been cleared off all drug possession charges. So to that end, I offer this correction.

In that blog, I stated that a criminal justice major should be aware of the penalties that come with possession of class B drugs.

According to his coach, Hamilton was at the wrong place at the wrong time. So in the end, he's still stupid. I think any reasonable person would realize that if class B drugs were present, you probably shouldn't be.

Another One Bites The Dust

Within this blog, I've shared articles that display some pretty poor decision making and this latest one is a nice addition.

In short, a UMass hockey player who is majoring in criminal justice was recently picked up on drug charges.

Usain Bolt

Apologies for all the videos with little actual written content. I'll begin writing more as we get out of the worst sports month ever - July.

For now, enjoy this Usain spoof.

Gundy - Making Eyes

Check out Mike Gundy eye Molly Qerim at the very beginning of the following clip - humorous.

On a side note, doesn't it seem like Mike Gundy has been hitting the media campaign trail almost daily?

This is an instructional video of how to "Make It Rain", with the best man for the job - Adam "Pacman" Jones.
